Qualifications

• High School / GED required; post-secondary education preferred.
• Two years customer service experience preferred; registration/insurance/billing experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to multitask; strong time management; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient records using two identifiers and greet patients or call to collect insurance and demographic information.
• Enter data accurately into the registration system (medical, demographic, insurance, precertification, medical necessity).
• Verify insurance benefits, precertification status, and medical necessity information.
• Determine patient financial responsibility and post payments; assist with payment arrangements as needed.
• Complete registrations and preregistrations in a timely manner; assist with admission forms.
