AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator I in Norwalk, CA to schedule urgent, routine, and follow-up specialist appointments for IDT-approved authorizations, aligning with scheduling and turnaround objectives.

You will collaborate with the IDT team to coordinate specialty services, advocate for participants’ needs, and liaise among participants, PCPs, PACE Center staff, and specialty providers to ensure timely access to care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.
• Two years minimum experience in medical/clinical field.
• Experience with referrals/authorizations and with an electronic health system.
• Bilingual English, Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule urgent, routine, and follow-up specialist appointments for IDT-approved authorizations.
• Collaborate with IDT team to coordinate specialty services and advocate for participants’ needs.
• Liaise between participant, PCP, PACE Center staff, specialty providers, and Utilization Management to ensure timely access to care.
• Support ongoing scheduling objectives and ensure smooth coordination across care teams.
