Job summary

Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai’i, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky is seeking a Patient Access Center Representative (PACR) to be the first point of contact for patients, handling information requests, scheduling appointments, and guiding calls with professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong multi-tasking and communication skills, data entry accuracy, and adherence to confidentiality standards while delivering exceptional customer service across time zones.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of customer services experience.
• Preferred: 1–2 years in a high-volume call center.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and provide information with accuracy and professionalism.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments; convert calls to appointments where possible.
• Screen calls, direct patients appropriately, and triage urgent needs per guidelines.
• Enter patient data accurately into the practice management system and verify demographics.
• Collect and verify insurance information for pre-verification with Patient Financial Services.
• Provide patients with fee estimates and explain available state funding sources.
• Escalate issues to the supervisor/manager as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and training; support teammates with procedures and data entry.
