Job summary

SSM Health in the MO-SSM Health Medical Group St. Louis Clayton is seeking a full-time patient scheduling coordinator to accurately schedule prescribed procedures and gather the necessary demographic, insurance and clinical information.

You will gather information, enter it into databases, coordinate schedules, assist with insurance pre-certification/authorization, counsel patients on pre-service requirements, and support registration duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 10 years of work experience.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from patient and enters into the appropriate database.
• Schedules patient procedures in a way that optimizes the patient’s time and clinical resources.
• Assists with coordination of insurance pre-certification/authorization.
• Provides counseling to patient or representative regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
• Performs clerical and reception duties related to patient registration.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
