Job summary

SSM Health in Wisconsin seeks a Patient Scheduling Coordinator to accurately schedule patients for prescribed procedures and gather demographic, insurance and clinical information for the procedure.

Responsibilities include gathering information, coordinating schedules to optimize patient time and resources, assisting with insurance pre-certification and providing pre-service counseling. 40-hour day shift in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or 10 years of work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of related scheduling/administrative experience preferred.
• Excellent data entry and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from patients and enters into the database.
• Schedules procedures efficiently, coordinating times and locations.
• Assists with insurance pre-certification/authorization processes.
• Provides counseling on pre-service requirements and instructions.
• Performs clerical and registration duties.
