Job summary

Women’s Care in Tampa is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first face and voice of the practice. You will greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and set up payment plans while ensuring accurate scheduling and billing.

The role requires exceptional customer service, strong organization, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems such as eClinicalWorks. Candidates should be dependable, punctual, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a true desire to help others while providing a positive patient experience.
• Strong organizational skills were required.

• High level of computer literacy with ability to learn Microsoft Office quickly.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with a prompt, courteous manner.
• Obtain and confirm patient demographics and update profile.
• Collect payments and assist with billing while meeting time-of-service goals.
• Scan insurance cards, IDs, and documents into the EMR system (HIPAA compliant).
• Set up payment plans for patients unable to pay balances.
• Answer high volumes of calls and respond to emails promptly.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments; verify insurance eligibility before visits.
• Keep lobby tidy and inform patients of provider delays when necessary.
• Ensure all appointments in the EMR are checked out at day end.
