Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first face and voice for patients. You will greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and guide them through scheduling and billing with HIPAA-compliant processes.

Understand and apply the practice’s financial policies, respond to high volumes of calls and emails, and ensure a smooth patient experience from check-in to checkout, while upholding our values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a positive patient experience.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Customer-centric, warm and professional demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
• Dependable, reliable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Collect demographics and update patient profile.
• Collect payment and assist billing per policy and goals.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into EMR (HIPAA compliance).
• Set up payment plans per policy.
• Answer a high volume of calls and respond to emails promptly.
• Confirm all appointments for the next business day.
• Monitor lobby and inform patients if delays occur.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and registration prior to visits.
• Ensure checkout in eCW and keep lobby tidy.
• Demonstrate Women’s Care mission and core values.
• Comply with HIPAA rules and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
