RWJBarnabas Health's Childrens Specialized Hosp is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to register patients, verify insurance, handle financial clearance, collect copays, and direct visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient registration experience.

You will greet visitors, schedule ACC appointments, log visits in the information system, monitor lobby safety, and support the Patient Access team in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of Hospital or Medical experience.
• Must demonstrate corporate values: Excellence, Compassion, Teamwork, Innovation, Fun.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills essential.
• Basic PC skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet all visitors, patients, and families in a warm, friendly manner in person and on the phone.
• Provide visitors with stickers and monitor that they are worn on premises.
• Determine registration and financial counseling needs of patients.
• Ensure patients are assisted promptly to receive treatment as scheduled.
• Request payment at time of service for co-pays or other amounts due.
• Collect insurance referrals from patients as needed.
• Log patient visits in the hospital information system.
• Monitor lobby for safety and security.
• Schedule ACC appointments and verify appointments.
