This hourly role focuses on accuracy, compliance with state and federal regulations, and compassionate service in a fast-paced hospital setting at Jersey City Medical Center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years Patient Access experience preferred.
• Knowledge of registration and billing regulations relevant to the state and Federal programs.

Responsibilities

• Admissions Registration
• Interviews patients and collect demographic and financial information
• Obtain insurance information and initiate verification with third party
• Distribute and file patient paperwork and IDs
• Explain Medicare and NJ Charity Care requirements
• Assist with consent forms and advance directives as required
• Respond to questions and provide exceptional customer service
