Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required at hire.
• Experience in patient registration procedures and documentation preferred.
• Knowledge of health insurance payers and real-time eligibility verifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registration across access points, ensuring accurate demographics and insurance verification.
• Scan, index, and manage patient documentation in the electronic health record.
• Communicate financial responsibility to patients and collect payments when appropriate.
• Schedule, confirm, and modify patient appointments to support timely access to care.
• Identify and resolve routine discrepancies; escalate complex issues per procedures.
• Provide patient-facing support by phone and other approved channels.
