Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a detail‑oriented Registration professional to support outpatient and inpatient services. You will verify demographics, insurance information, and financial responsibilities, then register patients across diverse hospital settings.

The role includes preparing estimates, collecting payments, and obtaining physician orders at the point of care. Education requirements include a high school diploma, with HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within a year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one year of hire.
• Minimum one year customer service experience; patient access experience preferred.
• Must read, write and speak English; strong communication and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Validate and enter demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information into the patient accounting system by interviewing patients or guarantors.
• Register patients across multiple settings and locations for various patient types.
• Prepare patient estimates and inform patients of liabilities; collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances at check-in with receipts.
• Obtain signed physician orders for tests and procedures.
• Prepare identification bracelets and patient ID labels; collect and scan required signatures and documents.
• May audit and record patient valuables with proper authorization.
