Job summary

Grande Ronde Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet, register, and assist patients in a courteous, professional manner. Under supervision, you will support admissions, scheduling, insurance verification, and collections, contributing to a positive first impression and smooth patient flow.

The role requires flexibility to work various shifts in a 24/7 department. Healthcare or customer service experience and basic data-entry skills are expected to ensure accurate patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification strongly recommended.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately by searching the MPI in the EHR, pre-registering and registering for services.
• Verify insurance information, obtain authorizations, and ensure requirements are met before services are rendered.
• Deploy and document forms such as Consent for Treatment, NPP, MOON, and IMM as needed.
• Collect payments when possible and document financial conversations in the EHR.
• Maintain HIPAA, EMTALA, CMS, and internal policies, and protect patient confidentiality.
