The role requires accurate patient registration, insurance inquiries, and coordination with hospital departments while ensuring EMTALA and HIPAA compliance. You will handle payments, scheduling, and clerical tasks in a fast-paced environment to enhance patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Patient Access Representative in a hospital, ER, or clinic.
• Experience with medical registration, admitting, and scheduling in ER or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk Operations: greet patients; perform registration and transactions; maintain logs and EMR documentation; answer questions about insurance and billing; perform clerical duties; collect patient feedback.
• Financial Responsibilities: collect payments; enter payments; maintain ledgers and daily cash reconciliation.
• Facility Cleanliness: help maintain cleanliness of the facility.
• Communication Skills: interact professionally with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Professional Development: attend monthly staff meetings and participate in improvement activities.
• Other Duties: perform registration-related tasks and assist management with projects.
