Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Patient Registration Clerk for Massena Hospital to provide front-desk registration, insurance verification, and switchboard support. You will collect patient demographics, aid in financial clearance, and help ensure accurate billing and smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, familiarity with EHR systems (Epic preferred), and knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service experience.
• Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic preferred).
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding.
• Understanding of hospital billing and revenue cycle.
• Ability to interview patients and collect accurate demographic and financial data.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and families to collect demographic, financial, and medical information.
• Verify insurance coverage and collect patient-pay balances.
• Operate hospital switchboard, route calls, and provide directions.
• Deliver excellent customer service and handle patient inquiries.
• Participate in training, onboarding, and performance improvement initiatives.
