Rochester Regional Health in Gouverneur, NY seeks a per diem Patient Registration Clerk to provide front-line registration, insurance verification, and switchboard duties. The role includes evenings/nights with every other weekend, starting with a full-time training period then flexible shifts.

Responsibilities cover intake interviewing, patient data collection, insurance verification, payer documentation, and cash collection while maintaining patient relations and hospital solvency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate's degree or higher in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field
• 1-3 years of customer service, administrative, and/or data entry experience
• 1-2 years of hospital related field
• Experience with database software applications
• Medical Terminology
• EHR Programs (e.g. Epic)
• ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes and coding processes
• Hospital billing processes and reimbursement

Responsabilités

• Patient Registration & Intake: Accurately interview patients and families to collect demographic, financial, and medical information; perform bedside, inpatient, emergency, and telephone registration while meeting established time standards and patient identification policies.
