Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Patient Registration Clerk for Massena Hospital. The role supports patient access by handling registration, insurance verification, switchboard duties, and data entry while aiming to maintain patient satisfaction and financial solvency.

The position requires 1-3 years of customer service and data entry experience, familiarity with Epic EHR, and knowledge of ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS coding. Training is full-time before transitioning to evening/midnight shifts.

Competenze

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or higher in healthcare administration, business administration or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of customer service, administrative, and/or data entry experience.
• 1-2 years of hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with EHR systems (e.g. Epic).
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes and hospital billing processes.

Mansioni

• Register patients accurately by interviewing and collecting demographic, financial, and medical information.
• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility and benefits; collect patient balances and ensure correct insurance loading.
• Operate hospital switchboard, route calls, paging and handle alarms as needed.
• Deliver excellent customer service, manage waiting areas, convey wait times and protect patient confidentiality.
• Assist with onboarding new staff and participate in training and ongoing quality initiatives.
