Job summary

Intuitive Health is looking for a Part-time Patient Access Advocate for the Intracoastal area, covering the mid shift (11a-11p). The role focuses on greeting patients, registering new patients, updating demographic and insurance data, verifying benefits, and collecting payments to support smooth patient flow.

The position requires strong customer service, basic computer skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner in person and over the phone.
Register new patients and accurately update demographic, insurance, and billing information.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and collect copays, deductibles, and payments.
Facilitate patient flow by notifying staff of arrivals and delays and keeping patients informed.
Answer phones and route calls; provide general information as needed.
Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Perform clerical tasks including copying, scanning, faxing, and filing.
Maintain front desk and waiting areas in a clean, organized condition.
Assist with supply management and stocking as needed.
Support patients and families with a friendly, reassuring approach.
Attend staff meetings and required trainings; follow policies and procedures.
Perform other duties within scope as assigned.
