Job summary

Intuitive Health is seeking a Patient Access Advocate for part-time night shifts at Intracoastal. The role centers on welcoming patients, registering them, verifying insurance, collecting copays, and guiding patients through the front desk experience.

A courteous, accurate, and HIPAA-compliant approach is essential. Responsibilities include answering phones, maintaining records, and supporting clinical staff for smooth patient flow during 7pm–7am shifts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Demonstrated customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new technology and systems.
Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner in person and over the phone.
Register new patients and accurately update demographic, insurance, and billing information.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and collect copays, deductibles, and payments per guidelines.
Facilitate patient flow by notifying staff of arrivals and delays and keeping patients informed.
Answer phones, route calls, and take messages as needed.
Provide general information such as directions, office hours and policies.
