Job summary

FMOL Health – FMOLHS is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Adult Otolaryngology clinic. You will accurately register patients in Epic, verify insurance coverage, collect required payments, and ensure a best-in-class patient experience under close supervision.

You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to schedule appointments, manage referrals, and update patient records, balancing accuracy with efficiency while supporting payor requirements.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a customer service/front desk role or a front office/medical office program; bachelor’s may substitute for experience.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Special Skills: professional demeanor, excellent customer service, multi-tasking, critical thinking, computer literacy, and ability to learn Epic quickly.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in EMR, verify insurance coverage, collect payments and ensure a best-in-class patient experience.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments, assist with referrals and ensure payor requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charges and demographics as needed.
• Answer questions, assist patients with access to resources, and support clinic operations as assigned.
