Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners seeks an entry-level patient access associate to support revenue cycle activities on-site at the Winchester, VA hospital. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and compassionate customer service.

You will perform MRN assignments, collect demographics and insurance data, and handle calls while ensuring correct billing practices and POS readiness. Training includes paid certifications and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Inquisitive and open to innovation including AI to improve processes and patient/client experiences.
• Must have a High School Diploma/GED.
• CRCR required within 6 months of hire (Company Paid).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigning accurate MRNs.
• Completing medical necessity / compliance checks, collecting insurance information and patient demographics.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls and provide excellent customer service with compassion.
• Adhere to policies and meet point-of-service goals.
• Utilize auditing and reporting systems to correct accounts and support POS/billing.
• Pre-registration of patient accounts prior to visits.
• Explain and distribute patient education documents and obtain signatures as needed.
• Review eligibility and enter benefit data to support POS and clean claim rate.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software for Medicare patients.
