Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an entry-level Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for patients at the hospital. The role requires accurate MRN assignment, insurance data collection, and patient education while maintaining regulatory compliance.

This PRN, on-site position supports POS and clean claim processes. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of customer service experience and a willingness to learn, with company-paid CRCR training and tuition reimbursement

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and open to innovation including AI to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs and complete medical necessity / compliance checks.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and relay calls as needed.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms and distribute patient education documents.
• Review eligibility responses and enter benefit data to support POS and billing.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute ABN forms.
