Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an entry-level Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for all patients at Ballad - Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. This on-site role emphasizes accuracy, courtesy, and compliance with regulatory requirements while handling insurance and patient information.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of customer service experience, and must obtain CRCR certification within 9 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience
• Must be inquisitive and open to innovation including AI to improve processes and experiences
• High School Diploma/GED required; CRCR certification within 9 months of hire (company paid)

Responsibilities

• Handle admitting duties for patients at the hospital
• Verify insurance information and process patient data
• Operate telephone switchboard and provide excellent customer service
• Pre-register patient accounts and collect demographics and financial information
• Explain and distribute patient consent forms and education documents
• Support POS and billing processes to assist with clean claim rate
