Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Center for Advanced Medicine. Shift is 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends.

This role focuses on patient intake, accurate demographic and insurance data collection, and ensuring smooth access to services. The position emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and knowledge of insurance processes to maximize reimbursements and minimize denials.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for hospital visits and schedule within multiple BJC systems.
• Verify patient identity and insurance information; collect applicable payments at point of service.
• Communicate clearly with patients about preparation instructions, financial responsibilities, and enroll them in required programs.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, MSP, and other regulatory standards; maintain patient records accurately.
