Job summary

Indiana University Health System in Lafayette, IN is seeking team members for front desk/clerical roles in our primary care clinic. You will greet patients, gather information, schedule appointments, explain charges, and ensure accurate records for reimbursement and care.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and basic MS Office skills. Experience in healthcare and ability to learn medical coding (ICD-10/CPT) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) proficiency.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Strong phone and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
• Obtains information to generate accurate financial and demographic records for patients.
• Schedules appointments, interviews patients for medical information, explains charges and policies, and collects payments.
• Answers incoming calls and directs patients and visitors appropriately.
