Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience in medical or financial services settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling and preregistration functions, validates patient demographic data and verifies benefits.
• Verifies insurance information and identifies authorization/referral requirements; communicates with payors and physicians as needed.
• Calculates patient financial responsibilities and handles Liabilities and postings in the ADT system; escalates when necessary.
• Delivers a positive patient experience and maintains professional relationships with patients, AHN staff, and external contacts.
• Assists team members with process improvements and provides operational support as required.
