Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience preferred, in medical or customer service setting.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, pre-registration, financial clearance, and authorization/referral validation as needed (30%).
• Verifies insurance information and manages authorizations/referrals with payors and physician offices (20%).
• Calculates patient financial responsibility and posts payments in ADT system; escalates complex liability to Financial Counselors (20%).
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains relationships with patients, AHN leadership, staff, and external contacts (10%).
• Supports productivity goals and recommends improvements to performance (10%).
• Follows AHN policies and completes required trainings (10%).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
