Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One year of related experience in a medical, financial services or customer service setting.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.
• Preferred: Medical terminology and insurance verifications.
• Preferred: Call/service center experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling and preregistration functions, validates demographic data and verifies benefits.
• Verifies insurance information and authorization/referral requirements with payors.
• Identifies patient financial responsibilities, provides estimates and processes payments.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains professional relationships with patients, staff and external agencies.
• Works to meet productivity standards and supports process improvements.
• Complies with organizational policies and completes mandatory trainings.
