Conifer Health is seeking a Patient Access representative at Abrazo West Campus in Goodyear, AZ. This role handles scheduling, registration, pre-admission and admission, reception and discharge, ensuring complete patient demographics and compliant liability collection.

You will verify insurance, obtain authorizations, explain patient financial responsibilities, and coordinate post-discharge care when needed.

Qualifikationen

• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
• Working knowledge of PC/CRT/printer hardware and software.
• Experience in a hospital environment preferred.
• Customer service experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate detailed information clearly in speech and writing.
• Understanding of Third Party Payor requirements preferred.
• Understanding of compliance standards preferred.
• Ability to work in at least two Patient Access service areas including Emergency Department.
• Ability to negotiate to collect money owed by patients/guarantors.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to interpret physician orders and insurance information.

Aufgaben

• Greet patients and provide world-class customer service; complete patient registration at the date of service.
• Educate patients on financial liabilities and perform cash reconciliation and secure payment entry.
• Verify insurance, benefits, coverage & eligibility; obtain authorizations and inpatient notifications as needed.
