Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Patient Access Specialist (Imaging Call Center Scheduler) in Baltimore to handle inbound contacts, schedule imaging services, and verify patient and insurance information. You will coordinate complex appointments, maintain accurate data in scheduling systems, and ensure high-quality customer service.

The role requires 2+ years in medical office or call center, a high school diploma, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in medical office, hospital, medical call center or similar customer service environment.
• High school diploma or GED
• Passion for helping others
• Ability to think quickly and problem solve
• Ability to talk and type simultaneously, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive 50+ inbound contacts (calls, emails, faxes, etc.) from patients and physicians requesting services within Johns Hopkins Medical Imaging
• Coordinate complex appointment scheduling and ancillary services required for assigned specialty services within the department, maintaining patient demographic and insurance pre-registration information in appropriate department scheduling systems
• Interviews callers to obtain full understanding of what information is being requested
• Provide high quality customer service on every call. Promote teamwork and call center success.
• Be responsible for satisfying the customer and maintaining the image of Johns Hopkins Medicine

Salary Range: Minimum 18.87/hour - Maximum 31.15/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
