Job summary

Baptist Oakleaf seeks a Patient Access Representative II to support our Jacksonville, FL hospital. This full-time night shift runs Thursday through Saturday, 6:45pm to 7:15am, handling patient intake, privacy, and regulatory adherence.

The role requires 1–2 years in customer service, healthcare, and insurance, with strong system proficiency and cross-training across patient access areas.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required.
• 1-2 years Healthcare experience Required.
• 1-2 years Insurance experience Required.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
