Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative II to join our patient access team. The role runs Wednesday through Saturday from 5:30 pm to 1:00 am.

You will register patients accurately, utilize multiple systems, and be cross-trained to work across patient access areas while maintaining HIPAA privacy and professionalism. Knowledge of EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO is valued.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years Customer Service experience required.
• 1–2 years Healthcare experience required.
• 1–2 years Insurance experience required.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently.
• Utilizes multiple systems and interfaces.
• Cross-trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
• Maintains service excellence for face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
• Contributes to PAS goals (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.).
• Understands State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
• Maintains professional relationships with clinical and non-clinical team members.
• Ensures required patient consent forms are completed and documented.
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA.
