Job summary

Baptist Health Oakleaf is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join our Patient Access team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time opportunity, Thursday - Saturday, 6:45pm - 7:15am.

Candidates with enthusiasm for service and accuracy are encouraged to apply. As a Patient Access Representative II, you will register patients accurately and efficiently, utilize multiple systems and interfaces, and cross-train to work in multiple patient access areas while maintaining service excellence

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of customer service experience required.
  • 1–2 years of healthcare experience required.
  • 1–2 years of insurance experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Registers patients accurately and efficiently.
  • Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces.
  • Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
  • Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
  • Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.).
  • Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members.
  • Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms.
  • Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
