Job summary

Sutter Coast Hospital, part of Sutter Health, is seeking a patient access representative. You will be the face-to-face contact for patients, obtain and verify information, register patients, and financially clear them for services, while delivering excellent customer service.

A high school diploma or GED is required with at least one year of relevant experience. You should be adept with insurance terminology, data entry, and using multiple hospital systems.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of recent relevant experience.
• General knowledge of patient access and financial counseling.
• Familiarity with insurance terminology and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the face-to-face contact for patients at the hospital.
• Obtain and verify information to register and financially clear patients.
• Greet patients/family members and support service delivery with accurate data.
• Work across multiple computer systems for registration, accounting, and payer websites.
