Job summary

You will assist with scheduling, pre-admission details, and pre-certifications, while upholding HIPAA and patient confidentiality in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (associates preferred).
• Minimum 1 year in healthcare or institutional setting.
• Computer/data entry experience and strong communication skills.
• Experience with patient registration systems and MS Office; Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and directs them with a positive, professional demeanor.
• Interviews patients or representatives to collect demographics, financial and insurance information.
• Enters data into the registration system and verifies benefits and coverage.
• Coordinates pre-admission, Medicaid screening and pre-certifications as needed.
• Explains billing policies and collects estimated self-pay balances.
