Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a focused Patient Access/Registration professional to greet patients and collect essential demographic, financial, and insurance information. You will verify insurance coverage and guide patients through pre-certification processes, ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to hospital policies.

In this role you will coordinate admissions, collect payments and co-pays, and communicate with care teams to facilitate smooth registration and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CHAA/CPAR/CRCR certifications required on hire.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare experience.
• Data entry and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with healthcare team and patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors with professionalism.
• Interview patients to collect demographic, financial and insurance information.
• Enter patient information into registration systems accurately.
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits for inpatients and outpatients.
• Explain financial policies and obtain required signatures.
• Coordinate pre-admission activities and scheduling with physicians offices.
