Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, FL is seeking a Patient Access Specialist I (Admitting) to join our Finance team. You will perform patient registration, verify benefits, explain forms, and secure the required information to support accurate forecasting of patient responsibility.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, healthcare or customer service experience, and willingness to travel to other locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Healthcare experience and customer service experience preferred.
• Medical Office/Call Center experience.
• Travel to other locations required.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and verifies demographics.
• Verifies insurance benefits and determines financial responsibility.
• Explains all essential forms and collects patient balances at the time of service.
• Resolves accounts per departmental standards and supports billing when needed.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy and collaborates with clinical partners.
• Cross-trains to support the Patient Financial Services department and travels to other locations.
