Job summary

Nemours seeks a Patient Service Rep to organize and operate office systems for appointment scheduling, patient intake, data verification, and cash collection. You will manage front-desk duties with a professional and caring approach.

Responsibilities include scheduling, obtaining authorizations, documenting referrals, handling payments, EPIC charting, and supporting Medicaid guidance and patient flow. A High School diploma and 2+ years of medical office experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 2 years medical office experience is preferred.
  • Proficient computer/typing skills; EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive patients in a professional and caring manner.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Obtain authorization and pre-certification.
  • Document and follow up on referrals.
  • Document and follow up on no-shows and cancellations.
  • Answer telephone with proper etiquette and direct calls accordingly.
  • Maintain medical records and post charges; cash reconciliation.
  • Register patients, collect payments and provide receipts.
  • Support patient flow and Medicaid/financial assistance guidance.
  • Assist with transportation arrangements and office communications.
  • Scan documents into EPIC and maintain supplies.
