Responsibilities include guiding patients through forms, utilizing office equipment, and understanding insurance requirements while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or related field (required).
• Minimum of two years experience in a health care facility or equivalent.
• CPI required for staff who work in FED or obtained within 90 days.
• Medical Terminology (Basic), Phone etiquette, Microsoft Excel, good mathematical skills, detail oriented. Knowledge of insurance processing requirements (auth, verification, terms, and regulations), analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets and processes all non-scheduled patients, gathering demographic information per regulations.
• Explains registration forms (Living Will, MSP questionnaire, financial authorization, etc.).
• Uses office equipment (fax, scanner, copier, embosser).
• Understands insurance processing requirements (verification, authorization, terms, regulations).
• Other duties as assigned.
