R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Representative in New York for PRN shifts at Ascension Via Christi Mercy Regional Health Center. You will serve as the first point of contact, helping patients gain fast and compassionate access to care.

You’ll work across systems, support registration, and assist with insurance verification and cost estimates. You’ll join a mission-driven team focused on patient experience, revenue cycle success, and collaboration with care teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service experience and communication skills.
• Ability to stay composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with patient access, medical registration, insurance verification, or front desk is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients and families with check-in.
• Answer phones and collect accurate patient information quickly in a fast-paced setting.
• Support timely access to care by minimizing delays in registration and answering questions clearly.
• Build trust with patients during moments of illness, anxiety, or confusion.
• Navigate diverse insurance plans, enter demographics, collect co-pays, and provide cost estimates when applicable.
