Job summary

Trinity Health seeks a Patient Access Representative to work on the front-end of patient encounters, ensuring accurate registrations, insurance capture, and patient financial counseling. You will interact with patients, families, and hospital staff to support a smooth patient journey, performing desk and bedside registrations and coordinating across departments.

Required are strong communication, data entry accuracy, and familiarity with EPIC; knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient with EPIC patient access module and related systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Admitting and checking in patients at front desk for ED and inpatient services.
• Accurately documenting demographics, insurance information, and financial responsibilities.
• Maintain cash handling procedures and balance cash drawers.
• Schedule related imaging or tests and coordinate cross-location registrations.
• Stay current with workflows and policies; ensure chart accuracy and proper tagging.
