Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Patient Access Specialist/Front Office at Brentwood AHN Neighborhood Hospital in Pittsburgh to serve as a liaison between patients, payers, and the hospital revenue cycle.

You will verify demographics, insurance benefits, collect out-of-pocket amounts, and help ensure accurate registrations and timely billing. The role requires strong customer service, HIPAA compliance, and the ability to work days with some shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of patient registration and insurance verification experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of HMO, PPO, POS, Medicare, Medicaid payors required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain EMTALA, DNV, HIPAA compliance in Admissions and medical records handling.
• Provide excellent customer service by understanding customer needs and building relationships.
• Verify demographics and insurance to facilitate revenue cycle and obtain necessary authorizations.
