Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative I - Float in Northglenn, CO. The role travels to regional locations to register and schedule patients, collect co-pays, and ensure accurate data entry while upholding privacy regulations.

The ideal candidate provides excellent customer service, understands insurance workflows, and works in a fast-paced healthcare setting to support patient flow and quality care.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet and email.
• Experience in customer service, preferably healthcare.
• Epic preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Obtain and verify patient demographics, financial, and insurance information.
• Register and schedule patients for appointments, tests, and procedures.
• Collect and process co-pays, deductibles, and balances; complete end-of-day balance.
• Provide information on financial assistance, payment plans, and charity care.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms and disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA and privacy regulations.
• Provide directions, maps, and parking information.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Document and update patient records in the electronic health system.
• Follow up on pending issues (prior authorizations, referrals, pre-certifications).
