Intermountain Health in Salt Lake City, UT is hiring a Patient Service Representative who serves as the first connection between the organization and patients. This role focuses on exceptional customer/patient satisfaction through welcoming interactions, accurate registration, and efficient flow of intake and care.

You will handle calls and in-person encounters, document in the EMR, schedule visits, verify insurance, collect payments when appropriate, and stay aligned with regulatory and billing

Formación

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients.

Responsabilidades

• Provides courteous and professional connections with patients over the phone, in person or via secure messaging.
• Documents all phone calls accurately and completely in the EMR.
• Schedules patient appointments for visits, procedures, diagnostic tests, referrals, and/or consultations.
• Registers patients over the phone or in person by confirming and updating demographic data; verifies insurance information.
• Assists patients in completing forms to meet regulatory and billing needs and educates patients on financial assistance.
