Job summary

Texas Spine Consultants is seeking a Patient Access Representative to serve as the first contact for patients and manage registration and financial intake. You will gather accurate patient information, verify insurance coverage, and schedule appointments to ensure a smooth experience.

The role requires verifying details in the EHR, collecting demographics, and communicating financial responsibilities while coordinating with providers, insurers, and patients to support billing accuracy.

Qualifications

• Certification in Patient Access (e.g., CHAA) preferred but not required.
• Experience in patient registration, insurance verification, or customer service is preferred.
• Experience with EHR and scheduling software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify demographic, financial, and insurance information.
• Input data into the EHR and ensure forms are completed accurately.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility before appointments or procedures.
• Obtain prior authorizations for procedures or services as required.
• Schedule patient appointments based on physician availability and patient needs.
• Explain co-pays, deductibles, and insurance benefits before service delivery.
• Communicate financial responsibility expectations to patients.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and collaborate with staff.
