American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a friendly medical receptionist to accurately check patients in and out, verify insurance, collect payments, and maintain patient records. You will help maintain patient flow and provide positive patient relations.

Validating insurance, greeting patients, and ensuring accurate registration are key daily tasks. The role emphasizes customer service, detail orientation, and professional communication within a walk-in care environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Medical clerical experience preferred.
• Accurate data entry and record-keeping.
• Positive customer service skills.
• Clear and articulate phone mannerisms.

Responsibilities

• Open the clinic by reviewing the facility and preparing registration packets.
• Greet patients and collect insurance and ID copies.
• Register patients, update records, verify insurance accurately.
• Process patient payments and address billing issues.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with follow-ups.
• Balance daily charges and prepare closing documentation.
• Maintain complete documentation and secure financial assets.
• Support other duties as assigned.
