Job summary

Kingman Healthcare seeks a Patient Access Representative to join the Patient Access department. You will handle patient registration, verify insurance benefits, collect copays, balance accounts, and ensure accurate data entry in the electronic health record.

The role requires excellent customer service, the ability to handle high-volume calls, coordination with financial counselors, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, or extended hours as needed; on-call rotation may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Effective oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrates ability to utilize a variety of technological resources (phone, computer hardware, various software programs, fax, scanner).

Responsibilities

• Process patient registration, verify benefits, collect copays, balance accounts, and ensure data entry accuracy in the EHR.
• Handle patient inquiries and refer accounts to financial counselors for education on denials, out-of-pocket liabilities, and payment options.
• Balance daily cash, process deposits, and manage insurance eligibility checks and authorizations as required.
• Lead PAR duties including training new hires, QA audits, staff scheduling, and participation in interviews for new personnel.
