Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of college level medical terminology course preferred.
• Six months to one year on-the-job experience in admission/registration procedures.
• Understanding of insurance coverage and medical terminology for accurate recording.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with hospital personnel to maximize patient data registration and refer to Financial Counselor.
• Identify insurance data in the HIS system for proper billing information.
• Collect deposits and/or co-payments at the time of registration.
• Gather signatures on all required forms and schedule patient appointments.
• Interact professionally with staff and the public, and work under variable assignments.
