Job summary

CHI St. Vincent Morrilton, part of CommonSpirit Health, is hiring a Patient Access Representative to perform patient registration and admitting across hospital access points, including the Emergency Department and main registration.

You will gather and verify demographic, insurance, and account information in multiple systems for registration, scheduling, and documentation. You will communicate patient financial responsibilities, schedule appointments, and provide friendly, accurate service

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required upon hire.
• 1–3 years of relevant customer service experience.
• Prefer healthcare patient access experience when possible.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registration across assigned access points, ensuring accurate demographic information and insurance eligibility.
• Scan, index, and manage patient documentation to support registration, billing, and clinical workflows.
• Communicate patient financial responsibilities and collect payments at the time of service as appropriate.
• Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments to support timely access to care.
• Identify and resolve routine registration and insurance discrepancies; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Provide patient-facing support via telephone and other approved channels.
