Job summary

Gillette Children’s is seeking a Site Based Patient Access Specialist for the Phalen Clinic in St. Paul, MN. This full-time, on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm with a 40-hour workweek and a 4–6 week training period.

You’ll manage patient check-in, scheduling, and navigation to ensure a smooth clinic experience. The position emphasizes exceptional patient experience, demographic/insurance verification, and ongoing patient engagement through the MyGillette portal and reminders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in customer service, administrative, or healthcare setting.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families at check-in, verifies demographics and insurance information.
• Schedules appointments across medical specialties in a timely manner.
• Assists patients with navigation and connects them to on-site amenities.
• Promotes and enrolls patients in the MyGillette portal and appointment reminders.
