Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Patient Access support professional to assist the Patient Access Department. You will ensure patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic and clinical data, and you will calculate patient financial responsibility, present options, and process payments.

Responsibilities include securing patient consent and acknowledgments on required forms, and supporting revenue cycle activities in a patient-facing role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or related clerical/finance roles required or equivalent.
• Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience preferred (3 years) or related roles.
• Certification in Healthcare Financial Management or Revenue Cycle is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare.
• Ensure patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data.
• Calculate patient financial responsibility and present financial options/requirements; process patient payments.
• Secure patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices.
